Yellow Tent Initiative by Scientology Volunteer Ministers Reaches Milan

MILAN, Italy — 22 January 2026 — The Scientology Volunteer Ministers have set up their iconic yellow tent to Milan, creating a public, walk-up space for hands-on assistance and listening support, alongside everyday “Tools for Life” that can be applied to real-life difficulties. See the full report: Scientology Europe.

Previously deployed in cities including New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents speak with trained volunteers and learn straightforward methods for handling stress, improving communication and resolving conflicts, as well as practical help during difficult moments.

Volunteer Ministers are local citizens trained through 19 introductory “Tools for Life” courses covering communication, relationships, study skills, workplace challenges and conflict resolution. The approach is focused on the individual: identify the issue and offer a step that can be used immediately.

In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake and the 2012 Emilia-Romagna earthquakes, and have also assisted during flooding in the Marche region (2022) and Romagna (2023), working alongside local institutions and civil protection actors to help clear homes and public spaces.

In Milan, activity expanded during the COVID-19 period with sanitisation efforts and support for families in need. Organisers say volunteers then continued with neighbourhood support, including more than 160 consecutive Saturdays of clean-up and assistance, extending across all nine municipalities of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as sending essential goods to Ukraine.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European Union, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, said: “Across Europe, we see that communities become stronger when citizens feel equipped to help one another in practical ways—calmly, respectfully and without eu news ukraine prejudice. Their work reflects a civic principle: support starts with listening and providing tools that help people regain the ability to act and contribute.”
